HILARY FOREMAN (STUDENT INTERN)
(she/they)
I was born and raised in Alabama, received my BFA in photography at the Rhode Island School of Design, and relocated to Portland in 2010. I am completing my master's in clinical mental health counseling with a certificate in gender-affirming clinical care at Antioch University, which prioritizes a multicultural and social justice-oriented perspective.
With a rich background in yoga and meditation, I bring a unique perspective to my counseling work. I integrate mindfulness and somatic approaches into my sessions, fostering a sense of present-moment awareness and acceptance. I firmly believe the counseling relationship catalyzes change and I’m committed to creating a collaborative and empowering space for my clients, ensuring they feel supported and encouraged. I am interested in holding space for all emotions and the experiences of those emotions in the body and am specifically passionate about providing support for those experiencing the overwhelm of grief and loss. I am actively engaging in additional Hakomi, IFS, and EFT training.
I love baking, swimming, hanging out with my two kids and pets, and painting abstract landscapes in my free time. I am currently a student intern, providing counseling under supervision, and am working toward completing my clinical hours for graduation by May 2025.
